Dear Robbeyond, 

Sometimes I fantasize about having rough and degrading sex with homeless men.  The ones that are on the street and look like they havn't showered or bathed in weeks. If they are barefoot, even better.  I am a 47 year old professional with a good job and in a stable monogamous relationship.  I have never told my partner and never acted on these urges.  What do you think?

I think that it may be your fantasy is more about control over someone who has little or no control over their own life. I am assuming from your statement 'rough and degrading sex' is that you are the dominant figure in this scenario.  Perhaps you can discuss this need for feeling dominant with your partner and do a little role playing in a safe way.  Sometimes when we feel our lives are too structured we fantasize about disrupting it in a sexual way.  I think some light S&M with your partner may be in order.
