The return of THE MOTELS
The Motels achieved great success in the 1980s with the hits "Only the Lonely," "Take the L," and "Suddenly Last Summer." Now they're back with two new albums. Frontwoman Martha Davis sat down with Try State and talked about being a part of the influential LA punk/new wave scene of the late 70s and early 80s, the battle with the record companies over control of the music, what shes been up to these past years, the influence the internet has had on the music indusrty, and today's crop of divas. Check back soon for reviews of the new albums and read the interview in the next issue of Try State.
If you are on the West coast of the US, check out Martha Davis and the Motels live:
Friday, August 14 at Universal City Walk in Universal City, CA
