Love, Lust or Run- “Geraldine” (Season 3, Episode 7) First Airs February 12, 2016 on TLC at 10 PM “An Ivy League administrator has three degrees but dresses like a twentysomething on her way to a rave at a club.”

I’m writing to let you know that I will be starring in an episode this Friday (Episode 7 of Season 3) of TLC’s make-under show “Love Lust or Run” hosted by fashion guru Stacy London airing February 12th at 10 PM (EST). Please find attached a short trailer showing some moments in the show which hasn't aired yet. In the episode, London, who hosted the popular show “What Not To Wear” for ten years, does her best to rework my outrageous style into something more traditional for a 61-year-old woman (yes, it’s true though I hate citing the actual age!) who has a day job at Columbia University as the Director of Academic Administration and Finance for the Department of Classics. I’ve worked at Columbia for 31 years and have received three degrees from Columbia -- a BA in Writing/Literature, an MFA in Fiction, and an MS in Journalism.  They describe me as someone who dresses like a “twentysomething on her way to a rave at a club,” but I disagree.  My mode of dressing is MY style and shouldn’t be classified by age since people over fifty have every right to go to a rave party or dance club.  I’m sure you’ll agree about that! I’ve been described as a “popular and outlandish personality in New York City nightlife and social media.”

Following a Kunst party hosted by Susanne Bartch at Verboten in Williamsburg, film director Patrick Smith found himself waiting for the L train home at 4am at Bedford Avenue. The long, dull wait for the next train was interrupted when Gerry Visco sashayed down the subway steps. Armed with her portable boom box, Gerry started her own dance party on the platform prompting stares, smiles, and cell phone videos from drowsy onlookers. Since that subway encounter, Patrick has been documenting Gerry's unique lifestyle. A year later, Visco Disco was born.  He’s currently editing the film that is a full-length documentary and submitting it to various film festivals.

If you can, come to the viewing party for my half-hour episode of the TLC TV show “Love Lust or Run” or if you can list it that would be great. If you’re not in NYC or are a weirdo recluse you could watch the show at home if you have cable TV. The viewing party is at Videology Bar & Cinema, 308 Bedford Avenue (near S. 1st Street) from 9:45 PM until 11 PM. There’ll be lots of fun people attending who are in Visco’s extensive network of club kids, artists, performers, freaks, twinks,  and fashionistas.  After the 30 minute TV episode, we will also get an exclusive sneak preview of Visco Disco, the documentary directed by Patrick Smith about Gerry Visco that he’s shot for the past year.  Feel free to come dressed crazy to contrast the make-under looks transformation of Gerry Visco. Videology is in Williamsburg and has a bar and food too. Join the Gerry Party!
